Hello, I'm Sofia. A weddings and lifestyle photographer based in Basque Country & Spain

I’m a communicator by profession, a digital marketer by love for strategies, and a photographer by passion. I’m an traveler, outdoor enthusiast, coffee shop explorer, and the number one fan of wine conversations.

I was born in Lima, and from a young age, I felt drawn to art, thanks to my father, who was an artist and instilled in me a love for drawing. However, it wasn’t until university that I discovered photography, and there was no turning back. For the first six years after graduating, I worked as a digital marketer.

In 2018, I decided to take a sabbatical to travel the world with my camera and fulfill my dreams. My big dream was to visit Brazil and learn Portuguese, and it was there that I landed my first job as a photographer. My journey then took me through southern Latin America, including Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile. What started as a one-year sabbatical turned into two years, during which I transformed my photography hobby into a profession.

My passions for travel and photography come from my desire to experience different cultures and learn languages around the world. I’m fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, and I strive to capture these experiences in my photography.

In 2023, I moved to San Sebastián - Donostia, where I now live among beautiful, green mountains with the sea nearby in the Basque Country, Spain.

In my free time I love it

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, and the people you have loved.” — Ansel Adams
